Designed, coded, and tested programs for the 24-card conversion and mass reissue.
Supported bankcard systems. One was IMS and the other CICS/VSAM.
Handled the design, coding, and testing of the APPC (LU6.2) interfaces for mainframe to DEC/VAX using APS for the Wire Transfer System. This was the first APPC/CPIC system at the client site. This involved working with the vendor, IMS Support, and VTAM support to determine the method to use.
Supported wire transfer system using IMS, DB2, COBOL, and APS.
Led analysis and design for new customer information screens and data.
Assisted on design and coding for Customer Contact History subsystem.
Converted and tested electric utility programs to be Y2K compliant using date change routines. For 2 of the systems I led a team of 4 people that were in the US from India.
Handled the design, coding, and testing for programs to format interfaces received from mainframe, PC (via FTP), and Oracle (one used XML) systems through the mainframe to a UNIX-based routine work management system. Also handled the design, coding, and testing of order completions being sent back to the originating system via the mainframe.
Worked with a user to design, code, and test a utility subsystem to handle work request invoices from a third party.
Led a 3-person team to convert a utility emergency service system to use a new Customer system. This included schedule/task monitoring for all technical areas and the user testing/implementation tasks.
Using business contacts and the Internet to research technology changes and then advise on timeframes and issues.
