January 2009.  Panama and Costa Rica.  In Panama, I spent one day touring the city, one taking the canal trip, and one visiting the Embrera Indian Village.  In Costa Rica, I toured a coffee plantation, cloud forest, rain forest, tried zip lining, visited the Tabacon Hot Springs, saw the Arenal volcano and lake, toured a mangrove estuary, saw the turtle nesting, enjoyed Tamarindo Beach, saw pottery being made and the new bridge connecting the coast and the inland.  


September 2006.  London, England.  I took a London flight for 5 days of sight-seeing.  I had an oversees ticket that needed to be used within a time period.  So I had a travel agent make the hotel reservations.  I checked out other areas via the Internet and obtained the Gatwick Express and Buckingham Palace Tour tickets before leaving. 

June 2004 Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  I took a Toronto flight to attend the ICCA Conference held in the downtown area.

July 2002 Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.  I was on an Alaskan cruise that ended here.  Saw parts on way to the airport where our tour group cleared customs.

November 1994 Bermuda.  I took a flight to Bermuda to join a Smithsonian Tour group on the island for 5 days.

June 1989  Tijuana, Mexico.  While working in southern California, I teamed up with a high school classmate that lived in LA and knew how to go across the border and back.  The first weekend of June we joined her husband in San Diego at a conference that he was hosting.  She and I then spent Saturday morning and early afternoon in Tiajuana.
